Bull Sharks: One of our favorite marine animals and the most important for the ecosystem! Underwater photos are an amazing memory but also important for conservation.
The Bull shark females visit Playa del Carmen during the winter season, from November to February.
Don´t miss living this adventure with us! Shark photography is one of our favorite ocean activities.
We have the possibility to get so close to these incredible creatures; and who doesn’t want a photo and a video with a shark?!?!
How is a Bull Shark Dive?
Here we give you an idea about how is a Bull Shark dive in Playa del Carmen.
First of all, remember you need to be:
- minimum 15 years old
- certified diver with experience (it’s a deep dive)
- negative (with some extra weights because of the current)
The Shark point is just 5 minutes navigation by boat! We descend along a rope to a depth of 26 meters. Once we reach the bottom we lie down, shoulder to shoulder, holding on to the rope.
Remember to check your air and your computer, to not run out of air and no enter in deco mode.
We ascend drifting with the current, following the instructor and respecting the safety stop!
It’s very important to dive in group, stay together during the dive, to listen to your instructor, and to DO NOT touch the sharks! Respect them, we are their guests underwater.

We love shark photography! As underwater photographers, we collaborate with diving centers.
The beauty of these creatures is speechless, their gentle movements, their perfect swim. And we can say this, a shark picture is a shark picture: Everyone would like one!
We usually swim around taking photos and videos from different points of view. At the end of the dive we follow you ascending and swimming between sharks! That is the best moment to have your personal photo with a bullshark!
Plus, videos are in high quality and you can appreciate the white send, the blue ocean and the gentle movements of the bullsharks.
